Company History
Founded in 1977, P&G Electrical Rebuilders originated as a “one-man shop” rebuilding light duty starters and alternators. Since then, we have grown! Our Bridgeview, IL headquarters began specializing in Heavy Duty and Industrial starters and alternators, as well as D.C. Motors. As our customer base grew, we found it increasingly necessary to have additional locations to better service their electrical needs.
Our East Peoria, IL branch was opened in July 1987 and our Bensenville, IL branch became operational in August 1997. Both locations are “full-service” rebuilding facilities.
In May of 1999, we acquired the electrical portion of Keene Ignition, Inc. Keene Ignition was located in Chicago, IL and specialized in electrical rebuilding. As a result of that acquisition, P&G Electrical Rebuilders, Inc. was re-named P&G KEENE ELECTRICAL REBUILDERS. Keene Ignitions’s staff and shop were merged into our Bridgeview, IL facility. Merging our knowledge and skills allowed us to expand and our rebuilding services, making us one of the largest heavy duty and industrial electrical remanufacturers in the Midwest.
October, 2000 brought the acquisition of “D” Electrical Rebuilders. Originally located in Addison, IL, “D” Electrical Rebuilders specializes in custom automotive electrical rebuilding. “D” Electrical’s staff and shop was merged into our Bensenville, IL facility allowing for a complete line to meet your electrical needs.
Most importantly, these acquisitions brought P&G KEENE ELECTRICAL REBUILDERS, an unlimited wealth of knowledge and experience. Combined, our 40+ employees have over 400 years experience!
